best burgers I ever made

400g beef mince lidl
600 g steak tartare rewe
garlic clove finely grated
pepper
salt
breadcrumbs (about 2 tbs)

makes 12

mash into crumpet rings to shape, fry in a very hot non-greased pan

What's "lidl" and "rewe" mean? Because this sounds good but I don't want to fuck it up if I make it.

It means that I am slightly obsessive and write down in which supermarket I bought the meat so I can reproduce the result. Lidl beef mince is a bit fattier, and the tartare from Rewe is high quality with good flavour, so the combination was really nice and juicy. The burgers were served with pickles, sliced Cathedral City Cheddar, lettuce and Adam's burger sauce in a Kaiser roll (well, what Germans call a Kaiser roll - it ain't sweet, and it's much chewier than a hamburger bun).

As you can tell, I live in the middle of two supermarkets.
