Llamas in the coming Alpaca Lips

May 20, 2008 17:05

The price of gas has gone beyond ridiculous. Beyond horrific. Beyond my ability to continue to afford. It's gotten to the point where I sincerely believe that the fuel crisis is yet another sign of the coming Alpaca Lips. Scooters and mopeds have increased in price because dealers are taking advantage of the sudden keen interest many Americans ( Read more... )

How about get or build or steal a little cart and hitch it up to the llama?

Also, I saw this and thought of you. ^_^

INCH-LLAMA! (instead of inch worm...heh)

The cart idea is a good one. It would get me around the weight problem, although I still need to lose 40.

Bonus, you could spin yarn from said llama hair and sell for extra $$.

I'd already told Llew that I could shear the llama at the beginning of Summer (it would be an act of mercy unless the hair helps keep the llama cool. More research is needed in this area, methinks) and sell the hair to someone who wanted to make yarn/fabric/macrame baskets.

you could also rent llama out to neighbors to eat their grass and save them gas money.

I was thinking of saving all his/her poo and creating fertiliser to sell each Spring. Llama-liser! It'll grow tomatoes the size of beach balls, so buy your bag o'poo today while supplies last!

I'd be like a wild-ass Santa Claus with my herd of llamas pulling my Southern sleigh that sports big ole bling wheels instead of runners and maybe even mad sleigh hydraulics.

I can't go for a horse because I don't have enough land. .16 acres just can't sustain a horse, nor do I have shelter for a horse. I'd love to have a horse and a whole herd of llamas and, especially, alpacas. There just doesn't seem to be enough room, money, land, patience....enough of anything. Except for, maybe, utter madness, which seems to be available in abundance.

Hee! And like the sleigh mentioned elsewhere here, I could have big bling wheels on my sled instead of the traditional runners.

Ooooooooooo!!! Llamrrific!!! I've always wanted a llama, the closest I've ever gotten is an alpaca...considered starting an alpaca farm once. But they aren't as good at foretelling the end as the llamas....and they're stoopider.

I feel you about gas. I've been trying to convince my coworkers to carpool for the last month and noone's on board yet. I hear tell it's supposed to go up to $7 a gallon here in corn country within the year. Stupid Bushbag.

Dudette. You had an alpaca and you never told me? Whuh? ::falls over::

If gas goes up to $7 a gallon, I'm hanging up my driving hat and going to live under a rock as I will soon be losing my home to the bank because I can't afford to drive to work and make money, which would all go for gas to get to work anyway. Blah.

Stupid Bushbag indeed. We hates him Precious.
