Mark's doing some aquarium maintenance today, scattering some brine shrimp over the water and checking the temperature, a handbook from the library held at the ready.

The sensation of being watched causes him to glance up, check the wall camera to see if it's recording--but the light is off. He goes back to what he was doing, ignoring the vent overhead.

*Well Mark. You luck out because he doesn't care if you see him. Instead of hanging out in the vent and silently observing, he pushes the grate off the vent and jumps down into the room.*

What are doing?

And now there are brine shrimp all over the floor.
Give him a moment here to catch his breath, hand over his heart.

*Ironically, the only person he's really scared so far is Mark, the one he wasn't trying to. He kicks at the teensy shrimp all over the floor, unsure what they are.*

[ Gareki was laying in bed, reading a magazine. Just when he looks up, behold! There is the masked friend. He jumps a little when he sees that Markus is watching. But then he looks a little pissed off. He disappears to a corner and comes back with a very long wooden stick from the magic closet, poking at the vent in frustration. ]

YOU. What the hell are you doing up there?

*He backs up a little from the poking, but doesn't go away.*

Am watching. What are doing down there?

[ Gives one final poke before stopping to talk. He waves the magazine at Masky. ]

I was reading until you interrupted.

Didn't interrupt. Was just here. Stopped reading on own.

*He'll aproach the vent a little closer now that there's no stick poking at him.*

[Hajime's just busy reading a book. So no worries, right?

Well he feels like he's being watched, that detective instinct kicking in. He slowly looks around the room, using what he can of his peripheral vision. And then something catches his eye at the vent near the ceiling.

Closing the book, he stands and slowly makes his way over to the vent, stopping not more than five feet from the wall.]

What are you doing in the ventilation shaft?

*He shifts a little in the vent so he can see better. He doesn't need to e stealthy anymore since he's already been spotted.*

[He raises an eyebrow.] Why are you watching me?

[He's not exactly afraid...just confused. His detective senses are tingling.]

*And because he doesn't have the Operator around to tell him WHO to watch, he'll just watch everyone and cover all his bases.*
