Apparently no one in this school is capable of going ten minutes without running into a wall or setting something on fire. Markus, dressed in black long-sleeved coveralls and matching mechanic style hat, is currently sweeping the glass from a broken window into a dustpan. Near him is his cart full of garbage bags, chemicals, box cutters, a ( Read more... )

[Passing by him and the broken window, Helena leans over for a second.] I didn't do it!

He pauses in his sweeping to stare at her. Intently. Yeah, she probably didn't do it. And if she did she wouldn't have stuck around to tell him so.

He goes back to sweeping. You may pass.

For now.

Being one of very few non-humans at the school, Feferi's already got the rep for being a bit weird. She's known for doing things just because she feels like it. So her attempts to befriend the churlish, silent janitor are somewhat unsurprising.

Today, she happens to pass him while he's sweeping the debris from the window. With a wide smile, she heads over.

"Hello, Mr Markus. Busy day today, huh?"

Oh hey, the only student in the entire place he marginally likes, or to put it better, doesn't dislike with a fiery passion. He nods hospitably as he dumps the dustpan of glass into his garbage bin.

He points across the hall at two other taped up windows. It's been quite a day.

If trolls had eyebrows, Feferi's would be raised right now. That really is a lot of broken glass.

"Well, seems someone was busy here before you. I'm not sure why, though - I really doubt the windows did anything to whoever it was who broke them."

Pulling the cap off his head and running one hand through his matted hair, he shrugs. Who knows why kids did what they did. He replaces the hat and pulls out a roll of tape to tape up the remaining broken glass still in the window.

Seeu is as monotone as one can get for a teacher the only thing interesting about him are his red eyes and even redder hair. He wanders over to the janitor and stands there waiting to be acknowledged in some way before speaking.

Sweep sweep sweep. That bit of glass over there looks suspiciously like shoes. He sighs and finishes sweeping before looking up at Seeu. Tilting his head slightly he waits to be given the bad news, someone threw up on the floor? The physics lab blew up? Someone got melted marshmallows on the ceiling again?

"Someone threw up on the floor in the men's bathroom on the fourth floor. Judging by the color they had a blue lollipop before they chunks flew."

Smart Janitor is Smart!

He sighs and retrieves some crumpled paper from his pocket and a red marker. Smoothing the paper out he makes a note of the info on his daily list. While his handwriting is very neat and precise, he seems to be writing gibberish in code.

He nods at Seeu and pockets the paper again, gesturing to the broken window. He'll be up there as soon as he's finished here.

[Beiste's used to it by now. It being what teenage boys feel compelled to do any time they take a shower. But that doesn't mean she's gonna clean it up.]

Uh, hey Markus. Just a head's up, the boy's locker room is...the boy's locker room. [Weak smile.]

He nods and sighs. Stupid goddamn kids. He points across the way at another broken window and holds up a hand with four fingers spread.

He's got four more to deal with before he uh.. handles the problem in the locker room. Not that he's looking forward to that at all. He needs to go demand more money for the janitorial staff to buy Hazmat suits.

"Damn," Beiste mumbles, shaking her head. She didn't realize these kids were that bad. At least the shower thing she could sorta understand...

"Do you know who did this?" If it was one of her players...well, he might find himself doing an extra lap or two.

He shakes his head and dumps his dustpan full of broken glass into the garbage. Whoever it was he hoped Hibari found them soon. And then let him know so he could watch.

He cocks his head to one side, thinking. He points at the door to the teachers lounge and then shrugs. It's probably more likely that it's one of the wacky power-charged teachers than a student.

After all, she didn't see what came out of the nurses' garbage can.

Dean is on his break, roaming the halls to stretch his legs, a can of Coke in one hand. He pauses by his bro the janitor, grimacing at the mess on the floor.

"Geez, who did it now? You'd think the trigger-happy DC* would be on their asses. I think they're slackin'."

*DC - Shorthand for Disciplinary Committee. Dean has the tendency to give things nicknames.

He sighs and shakes his head. Another day at this damn school. He actually hadn' seen Hibari in a while, which honestly was okay with him. Markus points across the way. There's five broken windows in this hallway.

He doesn't particularly care for the "run roughshod over everything" methods of the Disciplinary Committee, but unless things get really drastic, he's certainly not going to say anything.

Dean's horror grows as he realizes how much broken glass there really is in this hallway.

"Jesus," he mumbles. "Who did this?"

He shrugs, he hadn't been there when it happened. He had just been woken up crazy early in the morning by a flailing and hysterical staff member to deal with it. There were serious downsides to living on the campus.

He already had three of them cleaned and taped up and was working on the fourth. He was going to have so much paperwork to do to replace these windows.
