Out of curiosity, where are you seeing the negative reactions to Sword and Petal (or whatever we're calling it...I'm seeing all sorts of translations)? No that I doubt they're there, but the only people I've seen commenting on it on LJ are the 2 of us and dangermousie and I haven't seen anyone else commenting on it on DW, and most tumblr reactions seem to be neutral but intending to continue, or reservedly positive.

I know what you mean about Nine. I watched the first ep a couple weeks ago and enjoyed it and thought I'd watch more quickly, but got sidetracked by other things. Last night I thought I'd get back to it now that I've finished Gu Family Book, but I ended up watching the first episode of Mandate of Heaven instead. I do want to watch ti, I just...don't feel the drive.

Re. TB&P - Check out just about any kdrama blog that has a post on it and you'll see what I mean. E.g Dramabeans has recaps of both episodes and there is one @ Koala's blog too (she liked it but some of the commenters definitely didn't). Almost everyone seems to have issues with the same things, things that for me are quite central to the way the story is told. Without those it would be a different show alltogether.

Yeah, my reaction to Nine has been a quite curious one, especially as there are those who loved it to bits and wrote loooooong reviews about too. I was stuck at ep 4 for ages and when I finally got back to it I only managed 2 episodes more. I also had the biggest urge to just skip directly to the last epi. I don't really know what to do about it now....
