Gorgeous day. Walked down by BU to catch the Head of the Charles for a while before doing some light reading. (Shut up. Structuralism is totally light reading. It makes sense!) I also watched the first episode of Scrap Teacher. No subtitles yet, but... it really doesn’t need them. My impressions condensed and writ below

This is why I do not like anime/manga etc. First of all, all the characters look alike to me. And no, that is not a racist remark about Japanese people, because they don't look alike to me, just the things they draw.

And the plots seem to me to be conceived by a schizophrenic who's just eaten an entire pan of hash brownies.

I like my cartoons coherent, if not Oscar-winning.

Oh, the best part is that it's live-action- it doesn't even have anime status to justify the insanity. A lot of Japanese drama series are based on anime or manga, but the fact that they're live-action just makes them even more cracktastic.
