Having laid Shain to sleep in the comfort and security of his cradle, Ashe, feeling drawn to the window, gazed off into the vivid hues of Gaia's sky. Just as memories began to swim into her mind, as they tended to do whenever she allowed her mind to stray, perception alerted her to exactly how illuminated the sky was growing. Brighter, quickly becoming so intense that she could look no longer and shielded her eyes against the light ( ... )

Life in Narshe was almost returning to normal, at least as normal as it could be. Thanks to Rosa's aid, Ursula was doing much better than someone previously suffering a concussion ought to be. She was doing well despite an adamant refusal to remain idle in bed for very long. Her father taught her that royals must serve the people, not the other way around. Thus, so strong was her sense of duty that she was on her way to meet with some of the miners and engineers, when the tint of the sky caught her attention.

Glancing up, startled, Ursula barely had time to realize what was happening before a bright glow disrupted her vision. She flinched, glanced away...and when it faded, she opened her eyes to a familiar scene. The princess took a few steps forward, then abruptly quickened her pace. "Queen Rosa! ...Lady Ashe?"

Ashe and Ursula's cries fell on deaf ears as Rosa hurried forward, through the castle and up to the throne room, taking her place beside her son, Kain (who looked far different in his new Holy Dragoon outfit), an older Edward than his Gaian counterpart, and Cid.

The moment she saw Cecil, hiding behind Odin, Rosa stopped paying attention to everything else. She could no longer tell what was real and what wasn't, so focused was she on her husband. Tears fell from her eyes, but still she did not give in to weakness. She would be strong... for him and for their son. She had to believe they would halt the moon's course... and that her husband would regain his mind. This wasn't the man she'd fallen in love with. She knew he was a better person, that something or someone else was controlling him ( ... )

Unexpected and sudden as Rosa's flight was, the Dalmascan princess took to her heels and began running toward the castle in pursuit, only to hear the cry of her name. Barely halting, Ashe whipped her head around and sighted Ursula there upon the docks. Disorientation aside, this was a time to act, fuelled by desperation to find out what was happening and find her child.

"Quickly - we must follow her!"

Losing sight of Rosa was not an option, and some corridors and staircases later, a breathless Ashe came upon the throne room, just as Baron's Queen cried out. Edward, Cecil and Ceodore she recognised at once, but the scene which played out; it had her rooted to the spot, mouth slightly open, eyes wide. Was this... had they been transported to Rosa's world? Was this the fear she had spoken of regarding Cecil and the fate awaiting him?

Breaking her confusion as Cecil fell, Ashe made for Rosa's side.
