Some people were naturally inclined to wake up early. Tseng, despite all appearances to the contrary, was not one of them. Instead, he'd come by it due to long habit, coffee, and a Turk's ingrained ability of being able to wake up all but immediately under most circumstances. Unfortunately, none of these really helped much when the door was simply knocked on.

Not to say that he wasn't awake when Reno walked in the door. He was, at the very least, awake - and even working on rolling out of bed. He was not, however, looking particularly like he was ready to meet the world at large. But he'd never been one to let that stop him, and Reno had asked things of him.

Still, it took a good long moment before he actually answered, once he'd gotten around to properly sitting. "I can make them. I'd be more concerned about keeping Cissnei out of the manor."

Silence greeted Tseng's comments for a moment or two as the redhead's brain sputtered as Tseng sat upright. Why? Because as he did so, the sheets fell away from the Turk leader's chest, and left Reno struggling to remember his own damned name.

Wonderful.

Finally, as the cogs within his skull began to turn once more, he spoke. "Getting Cissnei out has already been done. Well, keeping her out, at least. I'll be asking her to run a few errands for me at breakfast, and Zack's running interference for us at noon, which should keep her out until we give the okay." He tipped his head to the side a moment or two, then caved into the urge to flick his fingers through the bed-mussed hair of his leader - and dear companion.

"I have coffee waiting for ya downstairs, but if you want, I can bring up a mug for you." Poor Tseng - he looked exhausted. Where Tseng didn't have good mornings, Reno was oddly good with them. Oh, he loved to sleep, don't get it wrong. But he could wake up easily and without any struggle. Unlike Tseng, it

There was a reason Tseng was never far from his coffee mug during those early hours of morning, and it wasn't because the coffee in ShinRa tower was particularly good. It was, however, tolerably decent as far as serving it's intended purpose, and by the time he arrived at work he was usually functioning well enough to actually make it seem as if there was nothing wrong in the least. Still, the offer of coffee was more than welcome.

"That would be wonderful," he answered, somewhat absent-mindedly (partly due to having just woken up, but largely also du to the brief presence of Reno's fingers)

Not that he wouldn't have minded getting it himself, but who was he to argue when Reno was making an offer? It would give him more time to work on getting the process kick-started. The sooner he was awake, the sooner things could properly begin.

He chuckled at the tone in Tseng's voice as he replied, leaning in to brush a kiss across the man's cheek. Hey - it was rare that he got to see the other like this, sleep still clinging to him. Tseng, as a habit, tried never to let himself be vulnerable, at least in Reno's experience. "I'll be right back, then. If you want to take a little time to set yourself in motion." And then he drew away, stood, and walked out of the bedroom (dressed normally, at least for Reno - he'd been up for a little while already ( ... )

Later that day... shurikenfemale January 16 2011, 02:55:15 UTC
After having been rather forcefully shoved out of the house, Cissnei ran errands around the city. Rather... silly ones at that. What in Odin's name was he even up to? Knowing him, something not so sound of mind and learned to not to question him.

But, while she was out, she took the opportunity to get herself something, or rather, somethings. It was her birthday, after all, even if the others so rudely ignored it. She shrugged it off as men being men. Shocking as the revelation was, Cissnei was still a girl and did still like to have girly clothes (though dresses she wasn't too fond of). She had several bags of clothes and was bored and tired of shopping, so she headed out to the local cafe for a drink, the only place that would let her have so many things all at once.

Stupid Reno and Tseng, not even remembering my birthday, she thought bitterly as she drank her cappuccino slowly.

The plan was in action as soon as Reno texted Zack that Cissnei was out of the house. He made his way to Lindblum quickly and, actually making an attempt at being sneaky for once, watched Cissnei as she made her away around the city. He had to make sure she didn't go back to the manor too soon, of course.

So when he saw that she was heading to the cafe, he decided now was the time to get the ball rolling. Ring, ring, Cissnei, visiting puppy has a question for you.

"Zack?" she asked her phone before answering and giving it a very strange look. "Hello?"

"Don't sound so excited." But he chuckled to himself anyway, trying to sound like his bright and friendly self. Which wasn't hard since he was more than happy to make Cissnei's day better. "Anyway, I have decided to tear myself away from the beach and explore some, so be proud."

He paused, making the next part sound legitimate and not just a part of the overall plan. "And I was wondering if you wanted to meet for lunch or somethin'."
