Lufene was about the last person Refia wanted to see, for a variety of reasons, but they needed information. Garland getting away had been something that no one had wanted to think of, but the unthinkable had happened - they'd failed their mission. If they wanted to keep going, then this was something they needed to do.

But Refia was still seething quietly at the thought. "I'm not talking to her," she announced as they approached the door at Bran Bal. "If I do I'm just going to try and claw her eyes out." And that would get them absolutely nowhere.

"Likewise." Mjrn's voice was quiet but tense. And unlike Refia, she had long nails that could probably accomplish such a feat. Instead of giving into that urge, though, she hung back and gripped her spear. She would certainly aid them in combat, if it came to that, but the more removed she was from the situation, the better chance they stood of walking away without one.

Getting information came first. Mikoto knew that as well as the others. Oddly enough, she found that she had no particular desire to strike Lufene down, though perhaps that would change as soon as she saw Lufene's hatefully smug face. But for now all she could think of were the other Genomes. If they achieved nothing else from this trip, at least they could save them.

She felt a sense of foreboding which only increased as they went deeper underground. And here was Lufene's chamber again. Ignoring the knot in her stomach, Mikoto spoke.

"Lufene."

Locke adjusted his bandanna, not sure of the wisdom of reentering Lufene's lair. Still, he would follow with the group keeping an eye out for any suspicious actions on her part. Standing off to the side, his instincts took over as he began to blend in with his surroundings. He was prepared to sneakily search around her, should he determine any reason to.
