Utterly useless. When that obnoxious rabble departed for Pandemonium, Lufene had half expected them to succeed in removing the old man from existence. She, unlike all the other Angels of Death that he'd created, knew that there was no true way to get rid of him. Yes, she knew all his plans, his history, his identity, his fate. In it's own unique way, she found amusement that he was no less a pawn in some greater plan than the Genomes he created. Irony at its most delicious.

She lifted a manicured finger to her lips and giggled softly. Even if it was only until the rebirth, there was some freedom to be found in Garland's demise. Freedom to destroy and kill as she wished, so that ultimately she reigned supreme over all that she deigned to allow to remain. Utterly taken with the idea that she would be better than a queen, she laughed. Yes, since they failed, she'd remove the old man herself and wrest control over Gaia all for herself. Why she even let Kuja have a head start on the destruction. Generous from her point of view. Downright charitable.

Unfortunately, Lufene grew bored all too easily and she regretted letting Kuja have a head start on the fun. With Garland gone from Pandemonium and already too far gone into the cycle to care about the fates of Terran souls, there was little point in her lingering in this dull little hellhole of a ruined village. He hadn't bothered to tell her off for openly flaunting her defiance of him. That annoyed her. Ignoring her like she was a worthless Genome. Hah!

To alleviate her boredom while she considered what she wished to do, she floated into the air and over to the pretty statues that the Sky People had been so taken by. Well, one of the statues was pretty. The other two were flat hideous. "Isn't it terrible?" she asked of the angel, caressing it's marble cheek. "To be so lovely and yet surrounded by such hideousness. We should change that, don't you think? A little interior redesign?"
