Thanks to Eiko, Tidus and Yuna couldn't be separated from each other - literally. With Tidus agreeing to let the girl do her Summoner thing, that meant that the two of them now had their hands wrapped in flowers, Tidus holding Yuna's right in his left and not planning to let go. The sleeves of the robe made that a little awkward, but they'd live with it - he wasn't about to let go, anyway.

It still hadn't quite sunk in that they were married, and Tidus still seemed a little in a daze, though he couldn't seem to stop smiling for some reason...

Since the two were bound together for a while, Rydia decided to make things a little easier on the couple and find them instead. As soons as there was a spare moment, the green-haired summoner headed over to join them and smiled radiantly. "Congratulations, you two!" And she hugged them, one after another. That they could only give a one-armed hug at best didn't bother her in the least.

Rydia couldn't stop smiling after the ceremony was concluded. Everything had gone so well, as though to prove to Yuna that her fears had been groundless. No Kefka-interference or any other kind, no weather issues...all was exactly as it should be, and she couldn't wish for a better day for her newlywed friends.

Going for the opposite approach to Garnet and Zidane's wedding, Rydia's dress was light and loose, of various shades of green and with a hem that barely brushed her knees. It would probably be more scandalous in other parts of Gaia, but it was perfect for the warm weather and a beach reception. Her hair was mostly loose, though small braids and combs kept it in check, hopefully preventing the ocean breeze from turning into a mess.

The food spread was of minor interest to her, but she would get to that later. Other things were on her mind, at the moment; namely, dancing and friends. So, she'll greet and chatter with anyone who comes her way, and seeing about snagging a dance with a certain ninja.

That certain ninja couldn't stay away for long. For his part, he liked Tidus' choice of venue as he was extremely appreciative of Rydia's choice of attire. He still couldn't understand why Tidus had let Eiko influence the wedding so much. He was just glad that he wasn't bound up like that. He'd much rather hold Rydia by choice than some ritual.

He noticed that spread of food as well, but who could think about that when Rydia was dressed as such. Tossing a smile her way, he closed the distance between them.

Rydia flashed him a smile after having found and congratulated the newlyweds, stepping in closer as well. "It's a nice change from royal balls, isn't it? I think this is the first time we've been to a celebration that wasn't one in a while." Which isn't to say that she hated those; so many of those royals were her friends, after all. But she did look and feel far more at home at this beach than any of those other locations.

Edge looked off into the water. "It sure is nice to be outside." As much as he would always take care of his people in Eblan, he was much more comfortable outside being a ninja.

Enjoying the nice weather outside, he teased Rydia, "You sure you feel safe with all the open water out there."

In her life, Dagger and she was Dagger today, not Garnet, or Queen Alexandros, or Your Highness, or anything of the sort had attended many social events -- Weddings, anniversary's, birthday's, festivals, everything you could think of. Even so, none of them had been quite like this ( ... )

That guilty pleasure didn't go unnoticed. Soon, a certain green-haired Summoner spotted her and perked up. Whatever ideas she had were currently discarded in favor of greeting the other recent bride.

"Ooh, that's a good idea." Rydia approached Dagger from behind, coming to stand at her side. Her sandals were beginning to pinch, so she slipped them off, enjoying the sand as well. She flashed a bright smile at her friend and then tilted her face up to the passing breeze with a content sigh. "Lovely, isn't it? I could stay out here all day, wedding or not."

Dagger's head snapped up at the familiar voice, and she smiled at Rydia. Inhaling deeply the salt-tinged sea breeze, she looked out over the ocean.

"It really is wonderful. It's been so long since I've been outside of Alexandria, for any reason other than business. And this is the first time I've seen Luca..."

For a moment, she lost herself in the horizon. There were still traces of the mist across parts of the ocean, and in parts of Luca... It seemed like the world would never be truly Mist-Free.

Rydia noticed the mist as well, though she tried to avoid serious topics for now. They deserved to have fun while they were able. "I'm glad you were able to get away for a bit! I haven't seen everything in this city, but from what I have, it's very much worth a look around." She caught sight of Tidus and Yuna not too far away and chuckled. "Eiko's tradition continues. I don't know how you and Zidane managed the entire night like that."

Mjrn paced along the beach, near the musicians. She wasn't dancing at the moment, though, just enjoying the melodies and the sound of the surf mingling. In one hand, she held a glass of champagne, barely sipped.

Given that this was a much less formal affair than she was used to attending in Gaia, Mjrn was able to get away with wearing a more revealing gown. It was simple and deep blue, short enough to reveal quite a lot of her long legs. Keeping the postscript of the invitation in mind, Mjrn also chose it for freedom of movement, and also arranged for her spear to be kept nearby. If there was trouble, she would not be caught off-guard.

But for now, her mind was on more pleasant things. She scanned the crowd, looking for both Tidus and Yuna, to congratulate them, and for any other familiar faces along the way. It was time to be social.

It had taken Blank a long while to build up the courage to approach Mjrn considering what he had told her over the phone. He didn't want to crowd her, but they had agreed to meet at some point in Luca. So, he eventually made his way over.

She looked amazing! Blue really suited her, and the dress really showed her legs off in the best possible way. It made him feel really short when he was next to her, but he didn't mind so much.

"Mjrn. You look beautiful."

Mjrn turned at the sound of Blank's voice with a soft smile, pleased to see him even though she was still a bit thrown by earlier revelations. Still, she did her best to try and not make her nervousness visible. Blank already seemed to feel bad enough for mentioning it, and she didn't want him feeling worse. As a result, she stopped toying with the otherwise-neglected champagne glass.

"Thank you, Blank. It is good to see you again, truly."

"It's good to see you too, Mjrn." He smiled up at her, giving his best confident smile - years of experience as an actor came in handy sometimes. He rocked on the balls of his feet looking out over the beach.

"I just wanted to apologise again for the phone call. Sometimes I should learn to keep my mouth shut. I, I don't want it to come between us. Still friends?" He once more looked up at her, a slight sadness dancing in usually hidden crimson eyes.

Kain couldn't back out of the invitation, since he'd feel too guilty avoiding it. He knew Yuna enough by now to feel that much of an obligation. Even if, in Kain's world, it had been one too many weddings he'd been forced to attend lately.

...at least there was some consolation that Cecil and Rosa apparently weren't going to have one anytime soon. Hopefully they'd be happy enough with what they had at home.

As always, he stayed on the fringe of everything, hoping he could avoid much contact. He would stay for a little while longer and then leave. The beach was at least an outdoor setting, the main thing he could appreciate about this event.

Rikku was flitting about the ceremony in her yellow dress, doing what she figured was her 'duty' at this sort of thing...that was, finding people that looked uncomfortable and making them comfortable.

Which was why she'd suddenly pop up in Kain's field of vision, giving him a bright smile and a big wave.

"Hi there!"

Well... there was someone he didn't recognize. Kain sighed, knowing that there would be no certain escape... Yet. It was only a matter of time, he reminded himself.

"...Hello?" Kain's own manner was a lot less enthusiastic than Rikku's. He wasn't outright frowning or glaring, but nor was he as cheerful as most other guests.

She grinned up at him, bouncing back a half-step once she had his attention, her arms folded behind her back.

"How come you're over here mopin'? You should be dancin'!" In Rikku's opinion, everyone should be dancing, frankly. It didn't matter if she didn't know you.
