He'd chosen not to approach her when everyone had collected her from the Iifa Tree. He didn't want to impose. They'd known her longer and, even if he knew her better, he didn't want to push his luck. It was obvious by now that Irvine knew of their relationship, and Rinoa had her suspicions, which she'd likely informed Selphie of. It was possible that most of Garden knew, but he wasn't going to approach the subject at all.

Making his way to Quistis' room, he knocked, his gaze finding the floor. "Quistis? It... it is Noah." He couldn't believe how strange it felt to call himself that name, even now, but it was something he would have to get used to.

Quistis paused her steps when she heard the knock on her door, though her slightly stiffened posture relaxed when Gabranth spoke. Though she couldn't see, she understood why he didn't greet her directly in front of the others when they had retrieved her at the Iifa Tree; their status was still unknown to Garden, though the simple act of Gabranth coming along to pick her up had some heavy implications. Nonetheless, she was glad that he had come to her room now; after everything that transpired, she had no doubts that they needed to talk.

Turning to face the door now, she called out to him. "Come in, the door's unlocked."

Stepping in, his eyes found the blonde woman, and the shattered glass on the floor. He couldn't help but feel sorry for her. He didn't want to pity her, but she was obviously going to be finding this difficult. Seeing just the broken potion on the floor, he knew she was probably going to start feeling useless soon, if she didn't already.

Reaching out to her, Noah took Quistis' hand and began to guide her to her bed. "I will clean the glass off the floor," he murmured, helping her sit before he crouched by the mess, gathering the glass in his gloved hands, disposing of it before getting a cloth to wipe up the potion. "I... my apologies for not speaking with you as we collected you. I did not believe it would be appropriate, not with your friends there."

When Gabranth grasped her hand, she allowed him to lead her to the bed without protest. Taking a seat on the mattress, she waited in silence and listened to him shuffle about as he cleaned up the mess on the floor. Her brows were creased with a touch of frustration that she couldn't complete such a simple task herself, but she had to remind herself that it was to be expected with her current state-- and even if she had to swallow her pride, she was grateful that Gabranth was there to help her out.

"No, don't worry about it." Came Quistis' response after Noah spoke. "I understand. They probably know all about us by now, though, so it shouldn't be a problem." She gave a small shrug and waited for him to sit down beside her.
