I have to agree with you. It was very LotF there. I found it all very disturbing. I'm not sure the Doctor is so loving the humans anymore right now. It was a very creepy episode, but not at all for the reasons I thought it would be going into it.

But it was a brilliant episode. DT's acting was so phenomenal - he's just been more amazing than usual this season.
