storyline, really good. River Song, couldn't help but get irritated by her. Doctor who confidential the director just said 'he understand that she could be the love of his life' Huh? What? No! XD

Seriously?! No thats making me really sad :( I know its stupid, but why do this right before Rose...what about all those comments like the Doctor and Rose are 'soulmates', 'its a love story' etc. Are the trying to break me?! Seriously?!?!? Ack...can't form words anymore...
The Doctor and Rose had a love story but it's just one in the grand story of the Doctor's very, very long life. He's been married and had children before and had other romantic interests before Rose and he'll have romantic interests after Rose. It's really not that big a deal. :|
All of them being trapped in a memory core a la Scotty in Star Trek TNG, about her knowing his name (and how that is a very powerful thing).... and then figured out what that meant just as the Doctor was chained up (though, the entire potent look at the 'bickering like a married couple' thing...) and weee!
Hrm. I am thinking I might drift away when Moffat takes over. I haven't seen the ep yet, but the description from the comments is irritating me. Don't bring in another potential love right before Rose. How about waiting until he takes over? I'm not looking forward to tonight.
Well, I'm one of those who think it's possible, and for an alien it's very likely that he's able to love more than one person at a time, even if both in a romantic way.
However, River isn't a current love interest, she's a future love interest. One that I'd love to see the show explore, granted. I don't think she's a threat to Rose really. The Doctor loves her and he always will - but I don't think it's likely that they'll ever be able to stay together. And at some point in the future the Doctor will meet River again and time will take it's course.
It's an aspect of his future he's seeing, like if a 15 year old Rose met Ten. Or if Two met Ace.
The timing of it is harshing my squee and not making feel kindly toward Moffat. I would have probably had no problem with it if he did it after his series start since he's not going to carry on with the Rose torch. But now? :P I don't appreciate it and I'm feeling the opposite of your icon.
I',m still quite confused. It was a really good episode, really well done and really inventive plot...but seriously, who was she?
That whole thing about "I'd only say my name if it was before..." really left me reeling. I kinda liked her more this episode, and was beginning to think yeah she probably is his future wife/lover/partner/companion whatever in the future, but that got me seriously confused. Anyone, any clearer on who she really was?
I just wish that SM would have left this story for a post-Rose reunion story. Why bring in another woman right before she returns? It hurts, really and sadly it hurts. Its like GitF all over again...
But all in all, I'd loved it. And poor Donna just missed her cyberworld husband! :( Damn you SM can no one be happy in your world?!
I'm with you; I wish this story had come out post Rose's return. I almost feel like the doctor's response to her return might be tainted - for example, upon seeing her (not expecting her return) he might think 'she's back! But she's not the one who's going to be uberly significant to be (at least not to the extent that River appears to be to future me).'
Now, a sensible part of my brain says that maybe River meets the Doctor way way way in the future, post muchos mourning for Rose (I'm not made of stone; I don't want the Doctor to be alone forever!), but I just couldn't quite like River since her arrival is so close to Rose's return! I honestly think I would've liked her if I wasn't such a Rose/Ten shipper! Untill I know there's no chance for them, I just can't accept anyone else!
River annoyed me still somewhat, but she was quite awesome, and she has a "hell of a right hook" which the Doctor clearly hasn't learned to watch out for.
I cried when Donna realised that her children weren't real and was traumatised by her missing cyber-husband.
Also, when Donna said about "Is alright timelord code for not alright at all?" I was like "YEAH. LOLOL."
Also: Rose may have known his name, and I am so thinking it should be a fic. Could I bribe anyone who doesn't have exams to write this? :D
Also: WHY DID THE BBC DO THAT THING WITH ROSE APPEARING IN THE BOOK ON THE WEBSITE WHEN THERE WAS CLEARLY A LACK OF ROSE IN THE EPISODE???? :s

I just think it'd be nice if we could do one love story at a time instead of three or four a series. It kind of cheapens it. =/

Wow this turned out longer than I intended!

If they go with the "Doctor is half-human" bit from the TV movie...
...could River Song be his mother?
Hell, it's better than the other possibility, where she's his wife. The slight flirtatiousness is a bit weird in that case but...
I could live in denial, how about you?

Yeah, very unlikely, and I think we have to face that the Doctor may find someone other than Rose to possibly marry or whatever.
I really wanted her to have whispered "I'm Rose's daughter" or "Jack's wife" and just have all our problems solved.

Its just not like the doctor to settle down though! Thats what I don't get!
