I was my friend, Dale's, 50th birthday in phoenix. Myself and two friends, after having had too much never enough to drink, decided it would be funny to go outside and moon Dale from across Camelback street. Yesterday morning my sister called to tell me my brother has been diagnosed with bone marrow cancer.
Monday morning at 8:30 I'm going in to be tested for compatibility as a bone marrow donor. -
Home
Got back from Hawaii late last night. It was a very intense, stressful trip. I'm home for 4 days, then head back to Honolulu Wednesday morning for another 5-6 days. I really do not want to go. Being onsite drains me mentally and physically, but my presence is required for both political and logistical reasons. -
Sight seeing..
In Hilo. The drive over from Kona was nice. Rolling semi-arid ranch land from Kona to Waimea, then the vegitation quickly thickens once you get closer to the north coast. I love the Banyan trees. Every one I see makes me want to park the car, get out and climb it ( Read more... )
