I guess LJ has been changing things - I have not changed any settings but between Thursday and Saturday, entries have started to go to moderation for approval. Unfortunately, there is also some kind of great, stinking, huge lag between the time you submit your entry and the time the moderation request is getting to my inbox - over two hours, guys ( Read more... )

Thanks. :) I've changed it so that anyone who's posted before should have unmoderated posting abilities, so hopefully things will go more smoothly. I'm still a bit peeved that suddenly it's different though.

The same thing happened on the Latter Days comm I moderate. I had to go in there and fool with the settings and everything.

I feel extra irritated just because I checked through the lj news and maintenance but didn't see anything about something like that being implemented. Changing stuff all the time, fine, but putting a note somewhere would be nice.

It wouldn't be a big deal to just be completely unmoderated, but I felt like since we don't have moderated membership, that there should be at least a little bit of mod control even just in case spam bots got out of hand or something.

Since the second part of my story didn't get posted due to the approval snafu, should I just post at the end of the 'thon? I kind of hate to intrude on anyone else's day.

Oh, god, was there another post? I didn't even get a request for that! Is the other part terribly long? You might try editing your entry and adding on the next part? I'll do a round up post at the end, of course - I'd just hate for your stuff to get separated by so many posts. I know I can edit my own entries, but that may just be because I have uber mod permissions.

But if you'd feel more comfortable, then I say, yeah, at the end sounds reasonable.
