The snow that did last - part 3

Finally the second half - well, more than half - of the photos from 25 February (wow, if we don’t count the dusting on the day before, it’s been six days of lasting serious snow, in spite of a little melting now and then). Lovely snowy cityscapes!

And an impressive amount of snow. I think we only had three or four inches in the end, and it was the freezing rain that came afterwards that caused all the trouble.

I never got around to measuring the depth of the snow, but my mother said it was knee-deep on the other side of the building on her way back from the hairdresser's. On the other hand, it wasn't very dense and the ind had blown it into uneven drifts, and of course it was even deeper in the areas where somebody had moved the snow from the cleared paths.

It's very definitely melting now, but that's going to take a few days.
