I bought some yarn and a crochet needle today. And an instruction book. I already know how to crochet the chain and the simple stitch (or whatever its called) but I want to make something other then a never ending line. I want to know how to make all the doilys and critters and outfits my grandmother knew how to make, but since she passed away in

Well there are a couple of ways to learn how to do the rest of it. I learned from a diagram paired with the abbreviations. And of course the basic stitches with the how to's in the back of some beginner books. You Tube has tons of videos on the subject too.
