First, I would like to say that this was supposed to be 2,000 words of Damon/Elena not!fic, where Damon kept appearing back in Elena's life, their relationship gradually building from there. This is not that story--although it remains totally self-indulgent in its quest for happy endings, and should probably be considered an AU just because of that ( Read more... )

I LOVE YOU.

AND THIS FIC.

So much amazing and awesome and wonderful. I highlighted at least six different bits with the intent to quote them back to you as my favorites, but I didn't want to scroll to the bottom of the page and paste them in, lest I lose my place in the pacing. Which, the pacing was fantastic. I love stories like this - it's also a great tense/POV for them.

I adore this soSO much. I laughed, I got a little sting of tears, and I could picture the whole thing. I loved how you just summed up these great whacking events, because it isn't the plot that counts, it's that life is turning to Crazy Town again.

You should write big honking accidental fics more often :oD

See, I really, really enjoyed this fic. Their gradually developing relationship and trust. Damon being gallant = *swoon*. Granted, it is a bit fluffy, but we need/want fluff in our lives and the plot was completely plausible in every single way ( ... )

I've read a lot of the fanfiction.net Delena fics. Yours is definitely in the top 10. It's very mature. I don't agree that this is OOC. I think it ahead of time in characterization. This is completely how I see Damon's character evolving. And it's also how I see Stefan/Elena evolving, then dying off. My biggest fear for Elena is that she will not realize how she feels about Damon until it's too late (that moment in your story made me tear up a little! Identification much? ;-) ). So thanks for this happy ending ( ... )
