Someone please drug me because I can't take much more of this world behavior.   How is it that people continue believing in the governments of the world?  Every new form of regulation begged for grants more power to the government.    If you believe the old adage, "power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely,"  then why in the world would ( Read more... )

I know you're going to think I'm crazy for saying this, but I believe in government to govern us. We are just a bunch of buzy little bees who need a queen bee to guide and care for us. Besides, even if we'd want smaller government, there's not a thing we can do about it.

Most people express a desire for minarchism -- small government. I think the next step in civil evolution is no government.

But, I am curious, why do you think government is needed? When you look at most of your daily activities, they are without government. When you buy groceries or any other financial negotiation for that matter; when you care for your pets and all other animals; when you took in grandpa; when you provided your online services; and so on.

The status quo is: "Without government there would be no order."

And, this is not true. Any sort of care, guidance, or protection that you may need in your life can always be negotiated with a third party. And, if you don't like the services, you can alway re-negotiate or find someone else. With government, you do not have this option. Don't you think people should at least have the choice?
