I like that he's experimented, flirted with danger before. That he already has an addictive personality.

Tired, weary, wanting a rest… but invincible. Unable to fade.
Love this description of the old man and his dilemma.

Nice ficlet. I just finished rewatching the movie and was in the mood for something like this.
