It's a summer of change. Last night, I sorted all the books on Kate & Holly's bookself in their bedroom & now that most of the board books have been put to one side, they can actually have their books neatly on the shelves. I kept theirs & my favourites, but even though I'd love to keep them all, in the real world, they need the space for the books ( Read more... )

Am saving for bunks too. I want ones that can split into separate beds so when we move into a 3 bed, if/when Jacob wants his own room I'll be able to split the beds.

That doesn't matter for us so much, as when they hopefully have seperate bedrooms, the bunks could be used for sleepovers.

I can use ours for sleepovers too but when Jacob decides he want his own space I won't have to rush out straight away to buy another bed, can split the bunks and then save for a new bed for Maddie, and Jacob can have the bunks as obviously he'll have friends over before Mads will.

Holly not at the sleepover stage yet, she v rarely had friends round, just occasionally. Kate started more once she was at school & started going to friend's houses for tea, so Holly will probably start that soon enough.

I have 2 for tea today after the school trip, andy has teh day off, so we can all actually eat together as we can fit 6 around the kitchen table now.

Sounds like you're making good progress on the decluttering! Definitely sounds like you have a plan with the back room.
