A Month
Well it's been a month since I posted last. Hot August Nights went well, it was a lot of fun. Little D and I made it back to Reno on the 15th of August. David was already here for harvest. The drive to Texas was full of all kinds of Bullsh*t, that I am still pissed off about and don't want to talk about without alcohol. My daddy died of lung cancer ( Read more... ) -
OMG!
I didn't realize it's been so long since I posted in here. Things are going ok, they could definitly be better. I haven't worked since I finished my temp job at the hospital the first week of June. People are hiring but they either want way more skills than i have (specific software, or bilingual) or they don't want to pay much of nothing. With ( Read more... ) -
Proud
Over the course of the last 6 months or so, due to stress, moving, and the weather I have put on weight. Not alot of weight but enough that my favorite jeans, the pair I practically lived in back in Texas, don't fit. I can get them buttoned as long as I don't breathe...lol. well, i re-registered with accountemps and i remember why i wasn't impressed with them in texas. the only real benefit of re-registering with them is that i can now use their online courses to brush up on stuff and learn new stuff. i now know how to use powerpoint, and i'm going to learn frontpage, and i'm thinking of learning lotus notes. i've ( Read more... ) -
good news maybe
accountemps just called me. they want me to re-register online and fill out the questionare so they can "get you in here and see what we can find for you". i am hopeful, and i'm headed over to their website to get started. -
Recruiter Email
Well, the recruiter lady replied to my email monday morning. She said that the lady at the mining company didn't give her a reason as to why they chose someone else. So that didn't help me any. All she said was that there was "no reason given, she really liked you". So I still don't know if maybe I didn't ask the right questions, or if maybe I ( Read more... ) -
depressed
well, i just checked my email and the recruiter told me that the mining company went with someone else. I am not sure how many people the company talked to. when i called the recruiter monday afternoon she said that the company was going to interview someone that was "an outside referral" on tuesday. when i called the recruiter thursday she said ( Read more... ) -
Movies
Well, I've went to two different movies in the last week. Saturday the sister in law and I went and saw Sherlock Holmes. It was ok, not that great but ok. I was glad that I didn't pay for it. Today I took my oldest niece and her friend to see Twilight New Moon. It was a good movie, I'm definitely looking forward to taking her to see the next one ( Read more... ) -
Christmas
I am apparently the only one who didn't post a Merry Christmas, since Christmas is over, let me be the first to say HAPPY NEW YEAR! lol. Christmas was pretty good considering the fact that we just moved and haven't gotten settled yet. Next year will be better. I'll be able to decorate and make my traditional fudge and be able to put presents under ( Read more... ) -
