Smallville 7x02 - Kara

Tip #1 for being a good student:
Concentrate on doing your chemistry focus questions and do NOT, under any circumstances, weaken to watch a SV episode on YouTube which makes you SO angry you feel the need to go and rant about it on LJ like no-one has before you.

- Kara made an awful first scene impression "Don't touch my stuff" - but she got better ( Read more... )

Well I would share my opinions but as I don't watch SV I'll leave it to the peeps that do watch SV.

Haha. *hugs*
Nah, it's good to see you back on here, anyway. Don't worry - I'll be posting a big SQUEE for Supernatural post next Monday. As for today - well, a half hour of My Big Fat Greek Wedding certainly cheered me up. :P
Hope you had a good day at school ;)

Can't wait for the SQUEE-fest :D

Oh school was wonderful, sitting in class procrastinating about doing all the maths work I was given and watching the clock tick very slowly to the end of the lesson. I had a ball XD

LOL. Pretty much exactly the same for me except I was also sitting there squirming about the modern history assignment I haven't finished and am still nowhere near completing.
*sigh*

I'm holding out from looking at the version that will doubtless be on YouTube - next Monday's going to be my special break. :)

I didn't like this episode much either. For the reasons you described, and a few others. I just felt it was boring. I got up to do other stuff about twenty times because I was yawning. Also, I was pissed at Lois. *gasp* I know, for me right? Who accepts a job that requires you to work for a guy who just thoroughly insulted and belittled your family? I know it's her dream to be a journalist, but I wanted to smack her for that. Way to stand up for your cousin, Lo.

Also, where was my Evil!Lex?! He's like a snivelling, neutered puppy this season. "Oh Lana, I've changed my ways, take me back, please!" Gag.

Oh, and I like Kara a bit too. I agree her entrance left something to be desired, but she sort of redeemed herself toward the end. Okay, I'll stop trying to write an epic novel in your journal now. I'm shutting up. ;)

First off - not an epic novel. That's my standard comment size. Call me verbose. ;)

Yeah - it was pretty boring as well. I just kept chugging through because of my longtime childhood commitment to the show, and to Allison. But seriously, getting to be a strain these days. *yawn*

You were angry at Lois too? Then it must have been mad. I directed most of my anger to Grant, because that guy is a jerk and a hypocritical bastard - at least, from what I've heard, he becomes one. *glowers*
I wouldn't work for that guy - only because I wouldn't want that anger directed at me, and because I'd want to work at a paper with integrity - added to his insult of Chloe. But I suppose Lois wanted to hear it. :(

Did he ask her to take her back? I just blanked out - it was too painful. I vaguely heard something along the lines of "kill me, I don't ever want to hurt you again, I love you" yada yada yada...
My poor Michael. I'm sure this wasn't what he imagined when he first snagged the role. ;)

I suppose in such a cutthroat industry, they need to be ruthless - but they tend to give constructive criticism, about the work, not the actual person, right? That doesn't get them anywhere.
And I think they went waay too over the top for any sort of realism. You know, apart from the fact that Grant guy was lusting after Lois. Yuck. :(
Perhaps - but working with Clark gives her access to a lot of important stories, and the way Grant works isn't Chloe's style. She does truth and factual evidence and deep stories - Grant does sensationalist headlines to catch the interest of people with 20 second mental time spans.
(Speaking of which - Dean's the only one that's allowed to use the "mojo" line in my universe. *glowers*)

Uh huh. They have a lot of work to do rebuilding such an awesome villain in just one season. I don't think after this they are going to bother making another one - but I want them to end on a relatively high note.

See it. For my sake. And for Aliison Mack's. And if it's bad enough, I'll see it too. :)

Hmm - a professional who somehow charmed his way (with that somewhat bizarre looking outfit) to the lead chair at the Daily Planet. *shrugs*

You are, aren't you, Katie? You can't escape it - you will watch it, no matter how much you complain. Look - on the upside, Supernatural is afterwards, so at least that will remove some of the bitter taste, right?

Hey Kallie ;)
*hugs*
Missed you too - gaping hole in my f-list. :)
I'll come and visit again soon - this history assignment is really killing me. Yeah, I started a week before, but that's not the point!

Oh yes - procrastination lovers unite! Chemistry is much more conduicive to LJ than to gas laws, IMO. :P

By the way - my somewhat-completely-mental-friend-who-is-reading-me-
disturbed-Victorian-poetry anti_social_ite says hello.
