Tip #1 for being a good student:
Concentrate on doing your chemistry focus questions and do NOT, under any circumstances, weaken to watch a SV episode on YouTube which makes you SO angry you feel the need to go and rant about it on LJ like no-one has before you.
- Kara made an awful first scene impression "Don't touch my stuff" - but she got better, and I've got hope for her. Don't screw with her, lMiles. The scene in the loft made me tear up - "you were her miracle baby". Clark/Kara scenes about the only good parts of this episode. :(
- I know everyone has waxed eloquent about the idiocy that is the new Daily Planet editor (WHAT was he wearing??) and his completely ridiculous treatment - isn't that bullying, treating people like that? And favour a completely random cousin over her.. *breathe, Tigger, breathe*
But my problem is also with Lois. HOW DARE AlMiles ruin my iconic childhood hero even further than I thought possible? I accept that this is a cutthroat world, where newspapers care more about sensational headlines than they do about actual factual reporting to bring change in this world. But that's where Lois and Clark were always different - they broke stories that brought fradulent multinationals to their knees, they forced governments to change policies because of the stories they broke. They wanted to change the world - expose the people who were harming their community.
They were passionate, disciplined, dedicated - they had a hunch and searched til they found proof, and then they had sufficient writing abilities *ahem* to publish it in a renowned and respected newspaper.
- Lex and Lana. Crap, I couldn't even watch that scene because the dialogue was too painful to listen too. WHAT have they done with LEX? What makes Lana any different - Lex Luthor is able to control lust, not succumb to it, dammnit!!! But it'll be interesting to see whether or not it was actually genuine, or another act - I hope the latter is the case. Evol!Lana has also piqued my interest - you have to be seriously twisted to want to kill your own clone, especially if you didn't know it was living. (Though how exactly it was created so quickly and grown to Lana's age without being alive is beyond my scientific understanding at this point...)
