last winter (2007), after i moved out, my parents started a HUGE construction project on their house. it was really intense, as in they raised the whole thing and added several new feet of... wall, so that the ceilings in the downstairs were of a normal height. they also turned the cruddy wood-panelled, asbestos-tiled basement i used to inhabit

So sweet! I love his face! I am allergic to kitties, but we have a neighborhood sicky stray that Michael and I let hang out in the house sometimes. He disappears for looong times too but always comes back! Good old Mingus.

although there are a few flaws with your story, i won't point them out because they make the story better. but he is hanging out a lot more. he likes my futon and under my bed. and he still growls a lot. and mommy got him some canned food so we can try and fatten him up a little bit. he likes to sit in my lap while i'm on my computer, but isn't good for picture time. he jumped up on my bed this morning and then looked frightened that i was still in my bed and jumped back down. it was cute.

and he still likes to drink out of my sink.
