Tiger & Bunny stage play - it is reality.

Ozaki-san just announced on Twitter that Tiger & Bunny will be turned into a stage play. Apparently it will be more like a live sentai than a musical or normal play, at least according to what Ozaki-san said. I guess we saw a glimpse of it during the Hero Awards

I was just reading this over on ANN! I kind of want to see it... if only for the lulz. I think it could be pretty funny. Well, I hope it's going to be a comedy. XD

Yeah, I also hope it's a comedy! I know I'll end up going to see it anyway, no matter how it looks, so yeah, hopefully it's at least enjoyable >_>

That's interesting indeed! I think it's very important that they choose the cast well, because a lot is going to depend on that...
I personally hope that they don't aim for appreciation from young girls by choosing relatively young actors to play older characters, but it's not what they seem to be planning so I feel relatively safe on that side.
(For example, I hope they choose someone who is really 30-something to play Kotetsu and not some young kid with a beard drawn on his chin >_>)

Thanks for the news! I actually came here to check if there's any info on the T&B Live. I never looked forward to any real stage plays for anime or games (Tennis Oujisama Musical, Bleach Musical, Gyakuten Saiban etc was really disappointing) but with T&B, I think it can actually work! The characters and everything felt so real so I don't see much problems adapting it to a movie or play.

Crossing my fingers hoping they're gonna sell the DVD for this >_

I liked the original Tenimyu, but I tend to get attached to people so I stopped watching after the first cast changed :/
I haven't really seen many musicals. I've seen the Bleach one once and it wasn't too bad, though I'm not particularly fond of Bleach so yeah...
I really liked the second Kuroshitsuji musical though, and I think that helped giving me the idea that "if you do it well, it can work", so I'm hoping that it will be the same for Tiger & Bunny, since the staff seems to be very determined to be faithful to the original >_>

Considering that most things so far were put on DVD, I would think that they will Oo
