Catholic schools in Ontario are funded by taxes. All other religious schools must be paid for privately. To confirm what you are no doubt thinking, yes, this causes a big honkin' stink every so often.

Probably not the case in NYC, though. But I've known parents who will do anything where their child's immortal soul is concerned, omg.
