I hope somebody will reply to this with a good layout resource because I need those too!
I'll snag that survey for sure.
Truth be told, I still am a little embarrassed to admit that I actually liked Twilight, lmao. I mean, I am completely aware how problematic it is and it's not well written by any means but back when I read it I enjoyed the story, it was an escape from daily life and I actually think there are even worse books that didn't get half as much hate. I wouldn't have minded that much if people didn't also judge the people who read the series as much, like you'd constantly hear "Twilight fans are stupid/horrible people" etc. etc. and yeah, I clearly take things too personally lol.
aaaaaaaaah i've been googling and it looks like lj removed "smooth sailing" and "flexible squares"-their two best themes that most layout designers used. i genuinely don't understand why they decided to do that like ??? no wonder it's so hard finding a layout community-they've left because all their hard work was thrown in their faces! that makes me soooo livid omg and i can't revert back otherwise it's permanently gone 😖
yay~! remember to tag me so that i see it for sure 😊
Thanks for linking to the videos, I am completely down for watching them and embracing the criticism. My issue is just when people start making personal attacks (like, along the lines of "all the Twilight fans are stupid") - pointing out privileges/problematic aspects is fine with me and I appreciate that :)
Ahhh, fandom wars are so ridiculous indeed. I've never been very much into fandom myself but I've still witnessed more than enough of those involving friends of mine.
okay~ i'm really glad to hear that! ya, nobody i follow or am friends with does that. i would like to think that at least half of the fandom have long since moved past that point LOL

ahhh ya~ if it came at a good time for you, i totally get that. i'm glad it comforted you. if you're ever able to stand to hear some criticism, i really recommend listening to and watching this group of indigenous, black, and white booktubers discuss midnight sun and this video of bookish realm talking about the nostalgia because it was also her comfort read. i hope you take the time to check it out. it gives a lot of insight on how the series negatively impacted the quileute indigenous tribe it "represented" among other things ( ... )
