aaaaaaaaah i've been googling and it looks like lj removed "smooth sailing" and "flexible squares"-their two best themes that most layout designers used. i genuinely don't understand why they decided to do that like ??? no wonder it's so hard finding a layout community-they've left because all their hard work was thrown in their faces! that makes me soooo livid omg and i can't revert back otherwise it's permanently gone 😖
yay~! remember to tag me so that i see it for sure 😊
i'm a bit ashamed to say i was one of those teenagers who didn't trust twilight fans (i'm sorry), but it's also because there was that ridiculous "harry potter vs twilight" fandom war that never made sense to me. i was frequently bombarded by twi-hards and their "passion" for jake and the pale guy i don't remember. now it turns out that they're both bad and outdated and nobody should be putting them on a pedestal 😂😂 ahhh all in all, i'm glad they provided comfort for us tho, but it is time we moved on and keep it in a nice pocket in our memory.
by the way, it's pride month in america so i wanted to wish you a very happy pride! 🌈🌈🌈
Thanks for linking to the videos, I am completely down for watching them and embracing the criticism. My issue is just when people start making personal attacks (like, along the lines of "all the Twilight fans are stupid") - pointing out privileges/problematic aspects is fine with me and I appreciate that :)
Ahhh, fandom wars are so ridiculous indeed. I've never been very much into fandom myself but I've still witnessed more than enough of those involving friends of mine.
okay~ i'm really glad to hear that! ya, nobody i follow or am friends with does that. i would like to think that at least half of the fandom have long since moved past that point LOL

ahhh ya~ if it came at a good time for you, i totally get that. i'm glad it comforted you. if you're ever able to stand to hear some criticism, i really recommend listening to and watching this group of indigenous, black, and white booktubers discuss midnight sun and this video of bookish realm talking about the nostalgia because it was also her comfort read. i hope you take the time to check it out. it gives a lot of insight on how the series negatively impacted the quileute indigenous tribe it "represented" among other things 😖
