So my questions are these(an believe me when I tell you this)I am willing to accept the possibility that supernatural/paranormal phenomana exsists, so
heres the questions,, your group doesnt allow people to join/tag along whatever you want to call it, who are skeptial why? according to your wife this makes the "spirits" not want to be present, please, if its an actual scientific investigation why care, because if its only going to occur with people who are believers, your "scientific" investigation is already skewed.
Secondly, who says, wheres the basis for FACT that all those little toys youall carry around "actually" record paranormal activity, an please dont tell me you are basing the premis that they work on movies or that stupid show on the SciFi channel. Actually there is alot more information, that some people are actually attuned to the paranormal. An also how can you justify using very limited narrow scientific equipment in an attempt to evaluate a completely unscientific phenomana?

The entire field of the paranormal is very undecided. However, we do not base our investigations off of equipment per se, we go off of many variables, variables which some are "Attuned" with. However, research states that spirits/ghosts need energy to manifest, by absorbing such energy from electrical appliances and the likes will trigger that of an EMF Detector. However, spirits can absorb energy from a living source, in which the EMF Detector is useless. When a spirit drains the energy from the area, there is a drop in air tempature, this is where the infrared thermometer becomes handy, or that of a thermal. However, we are not in the money, so thermal is obsolete. Being a skeptic as I am, I can debunk most claims. Even EVP work can sometimes be ruled out. It is how you approach the investigation, not whether you are a skeptic during an investigation that either draws the spirits, or makes them withdraw. If you go in with the attitude that there is nothing out there that is possible and basically making a mockery of the thought of ( ... )

Belief is an interesting thing. When you have faith, you get all the validation of that faith you need. When you don't have faith, you spend forever waiting for some kind of "proof" that never shows.

Do I have faith in a goddess who watches over me, cares for me, is intimately involved in my life and will warn me of danger? Absolutely. If I didn't, there's no way I would go traipsing through a cemetery after dark. Have I had proof of her presence? Yes; I've heard her voice answering a question I asked. Would someone who didn't have faith in her ever have a similar experience? I doubt it.

You cannot scientifically prove or disprove the presence of the Divine, at least not with the instrumentation we have now. That is something that must be reached from within. There are a lot of spiritual folks in our group, of all faiths. The more you are willing to freely discuss the divine with these people, the more you'll open yourself up to seeing it work in your life.

Personally, I think you've got a pretty good dose of it already. ;)

Yeah, I am slow on the uptake...

Not surprising to see you head in this direction. Honestly, what took you so long to go full circle?

Otherwise, you know - as always - if you need to find information, I'll float requests on your behalf with folks here...
