Thanks! XD

I use COMPLETELY DICKISH far too often for my own good. But it is an accurate descriptor, no?

I approve of your life choices. Especially your primer :P SO GREAT. My only problem is that the home team is always gonna be the Sens for me, and unless they're playing one of *teh evils* I'm always going to be cheering for the away team. (I went to see a game against Boston in December, and my Sens-fan friend was all "since when do you cheer for the Sens?" i was all "Boston -_-"

I gotta be honest, I'm fully on board with going to games for the guys. As long as you stay for the hockey!

of course not! I believe that Slap Shot is required viewing anyways for anyone getting into hockey.

I can tell you from the n00b end of things that this was helpful and awesome. I still don't get icing, or why anyone would come up with a rule like that, but oh well.

I've got 2 questions: what's a dangle? Also, from reading stats it seems like defensemen score more than defensive players in other sports. What's that about, if there's only 2 of them? I get that the more players in the attacking zone, the better, but with the velocity of passes it seems like leaving only one D-man (plus goalie) in the defensive zone would be pretty risky.

Thank you for putting this together!! \o/

I'm glad you found this somewhat useful :D Icing is one of the stupidest rules, made even stupider when you throw in the fact that if you're killing a penalty and you ice the puck, it's not actually icing... I don't even know ( ... )

So, I showed this primer to my friend who knows nothing about hockey at all, and she loved it. You explained the general rules so amazingly well that I spent a lot of time clapping happily. And then you got to the team info and I could not stop laughing. Really A+ primer, it's both factual and really easy to read. Thank you for sharing!

I'm so glad you (and your friend) liked it!

I just added a whole section on goal scoring, because I realized I'd forgotten the most important part!!

Also, I'm happy I made you laugh. I never know if I'm the only one who finds my sense of humour amusing or not :P
