it's difficult to feel sorry for Larrin and her people when all we see them do onscreen is beat up one of the main characters.

Gee. That's exactly how I felt about Vala in "Promethus Unbound".

Not only is that badbadbadTPTB/writing, but it just made no sense given that she's frakking in CHARGE. However, I'm trying to allow for the possibility that they were filmed out of order (as does happen) and that Amanda was still off shooting the movies.

Yeah, I was thinking that Amanda must be pretty busy too, what with all the projects she's working on. And at the end of the day I'd rather she concentrate on the movies than on Atlantis, but I think the writers should have at least had one of the characters mention that Sam was aware of the situation. Oh, well.
