Me: Dad, you made the situation sound dire. It's only 1-0 and it's still the 7th inning.
*five minutes later*
Me, in shock: ...Ok. The Orioles just scored 5 runs. It's 6-0 and I just watched that happen in five minutes.
Dad: Yeah, maybe you should turn that off.

At least we beat the Mariners?

just like to point out that the yankees are last in their division, soooo any win is a celebration. the yankees have been known to be swept by totally random teams .100 behind them.

also, don't worry! the mariners have almost caught up to kansas city (2 games back, i think), who're on an 11 game losing streak. you won't be last in the AL anymore!
