All the Avengers, all the time

I WANT ALL THE TEAM BONDING PLEASE.

Before I saw the movie, I was a little sad because I figured it would do all the work of creating the team bonding and also the Steve/Tony friendship*, as this is especially relevant to my interests, and then there would be fewer fic versions. So, although I would have loved to see more Joss doing character ( Read more... )

Hey! Through various wendings and windings of the Internet, I got pointed in the direction of your lovely rec post. I never got around to writing you a note for all the kind kudos you dropped on a couple fics on AO3 a while back, but I wanted to say (i) thanks for those kudos, and (ii) I'm kinda tickled pink by the things you say about "Love is for children"/my writing. Is that, uh, weird? But I try really, really hard for cold and clear-eyed and ruthless, so it's thrilling to hear that sometimes I get there.

On the other hand, though, you mention being pretty heavily squicked by stuff I didn't warn for. Would it be useful if I put warning for emotional badness? If so, are there any stories I should do it for? I try to warn for the things that I know are really, really bad, but it sounds like maybe I should warn for other things, too. (I'm guessing the sex scene in "Love is for children" that squicked you was the Steve/Natasha/Bucky?)

(Also, the Natasha vid is amazing. Off to leave feedback for it!)

Hi! Kudos carry no obligation for thanks. I love them because they allow me to say "I liked this" without having to come up with the energy to do it promptly and/or in an original way, which as you can see I am not great at. Anyway, I'm glad you liked the description.

It was indeed the Steve/Natasha/Bucky scene that squicked me, although I'm not sure whether you need to warn for it. I was surprised, at first, you hadn't included a noncon/dubcon warning, and then I wasn't sure it was appropriate. I guess it depends on whether or how ulterior motives and emotional manipulation undermine informed consent? It's the kind of thing I would probably default to "Author chooses not to warn" for, because it's so tangled to figure out.
