Drabble #12 (or... *spams you all*)
For slartibartfast, Castiel/Sam and 'fascination'.
Castiel's never had anyone look at him quite like that before. True, that his dealings with humans have been...limited. But even in all his watching, he has never seen that look on another's face.
It bowls him over and for a moment, he is too stunned to react and take the hand being offered to him. When he does, when his hand clasps Sam's - and there is power here but not evil - that look only deepens.
Angel's do not look for recognition or worship. Humans pray to God and if they happen to fall to the feet of an Angel, it is only because God has sent that angel. Sam looks like he will fall at Castiel's feet only for the sake of Castiel.
For a moment, Castiel wants him to. What better way to turn Sam Winchester down the right path?
Before the thought can be made into something more, Castiel speaks words that vanquish the look as surely as if it were a demon. Chasing away the fascination for them both.
