This time last week I was planning to be all 'woo, one year since I gave up smoking!' but my triumph was somewhat overshadowed by the icky virus and case of laryngitis I had at the time. And to add insult to injury, at a time when I should be enjoying my best lung-health for years, the virus has left me temporarily asthmatic. Bastards

Yay, I hoped this meme would appeal to you! I think you're right about tracks 11-15 - 'Tin Animal Money' and 'Antwerp Mannerism' are my favourites. If I had the slightest bit of musical talent I would try to write them.

I think your LP is great - probably more cohesive than mine and as you say, very Midlake! I think this might be my band's difficult second album actually - buoyed up by fame all the other band members have started writing songs, so we've got a million different influences on there, from Ravi Shankar to Cocteau Twins, and I'm not sure it all works. Hmm.
