Another chatty Saturday

While I do have more minutes than I used to on my phone, I'm going to be changing next month and 'regressing' back to fewer, so I'm getting back into the habit of doing most calls on the weekend, which are free. I for one would really enjoy seeing you get back to writing on your original sexy monks story! I loved it.

I am also greatly distracted by A Game of Thrones. Enjoying it so much, but rather than inspiration to write at the moment, I have already started using most of my free time to read the very long books upon which it is based. I actually found the TV series extremely useful in helping me find my way through the complications of his geography, cultures and main characters' families and histories.

I am finishing up a HP Big Bang novella this weekend--my first ever Harry Potter fic. It is Dumbledore/Grindelwald. I thought of you simply because you are one of the few long-time friends on LJ who have written in the HP universe. I Betaed a Lily/James fic this week also. So not Tolkien or my other fandoms. HP is kind nice in that it has a modern setting and its rules of magic and its differences from our real world are fairly easy to keep straight. (Unlike Tolkien!)

I'd love to have closure on my monk story! Maybe by rereading it I'll get inspired. ;)

Congrats to you on the long Dumbledore/Grindelwald. I'm sure that your take on that relationship is superb. HP is definitely a different animal from Tolkien, but there are some excellent writers in both fandoms.

I'm looking forward to listening to and reading the Martin books. I have no idea what his writing style is like, so it will be a whole new experience for me!
