After the events of the previous day, Alanna wasn't looking forward to facing ... well, pretty much anyone. So before coming out of her new tent, she sat down to write. Or at least try to write.

Hoo boy. Really not letting up on you, are they? Does this mean you go on spirit walks, or whatever? Like Blair used to go on about? And you get in these messes because people of action *always* get into these messes.
How evil are we talking with this evil sword? What the hell? Is this part of the shaman thing, or something else?
I wish I could come visit, still, despite you not wanting visitors, but for now, still stuck in Russia. We leave in the middle of next week. Hopefully I won't have strangled either the Boy of the Month or my father by then.
No dragons in Russia. Just mobsters. And muggers. It's a peachy place.
I would send you pepper vodka, but the thing with the flame doesn't work on glass bottles of alcohol without getting totally out of control.
