I went to see John fogerty at
Musikfest yesterday. What a great show. Mr. Fogerty can still rock. I hope I have his energy when I'm 63. He's a better guitarist than I ever realized. It was an added treat when the Musikfest fireworks started just as John started playing "Fortunate Son" with dramatic effect

hehe, Umm ok, well Honda has 2 bikes in their 250cc "entry level" the Rebel and the Nighthawk. You probably will think of them as Amisheque too :P
I have the Rebel, and its a good solid bike. It gets 80+ MPG from its twin cylinder 20 horse powerplant, however... it hurts my butt something awful on long trips :/
So, I ended up with a Moto Guzzi Nevada Classic 750 which personally, i think is a fantastic bike even for a beginner! Plus you have the sports bike version of it, the Breva 750 ^_^
Your probably thinking "Moto-what?".. Well, Moto Guzzi is an Italian company and is the second oldest motorcycle manufacturer in continuous production in the world. Second only to that other over-popular American brand :P
Check 'em out ^_^

I have been researching the Honda Rebel, but I haven't seen it in person yet. Of all of the beginner cruisers, I think the Kawasaki Vulcan 500 looks the best. I'm anxious to see it.
Maybe you can answer a question for me. I'm worried that I might have gotten myself over-excited about the Suzuki. I'm thinking that it may not be very practical. How much can sport bikes carry? Is my only option a backpack? Could I at least ride it to the supermarket?
Of course I've heard of Moto Guzzi before. It's the brand made famous in the song "Rock n Roll Lifestyle" by Cake. :-)
Thanks for the info.

Ask what Suzuki offers or check around the web for aftermarket stuff for the GS500F.
And yeah, the Cake song is cool! ^_^
There is also Scritti Politti's "Boom! There she was" which mentions Moto Guzzi ^_^ (Yes, its sooooo 80s *giggle*)
