Do what you feel is right for you, what is best for your life. In the end, a job is a job and happiness is something that money can't buy.

I've been in a similar position my last straw was someone less experienced than me ( and younger) getting promoted over me in a sideways move ie she now manages a team while i still only unofficially manage a team. It was made very clear to me that there was going to be no more money, but since having the this is why i'm going to quit meeting, I get mentioned at every company meeting ( there is only 60 people in the company) and i did a joint presentation with boss boss (instead of my boss) so my profile within the company is much better.

They did try to get me to go for a more IT job promotion at head office, but i like the gym that i go too so didn't go for it even though it was more money etc.

I think happiness is more important than money, which is why i'm sticking where i am at the moment, i'm still looking incase something good come up on the job market, but it would have to be a good package. ( money. less stress and either near my gym or a nice gym)
