Dark Sun is coming back.

Apparently Wizards of the Coast will revive the Dark Sun property in 2010.

I'm cautiously optimistic. Wyatt's description of the setting sneakily hints that they'll sneak in a few sneaky retcons, perhaps ( Read more... )

It was my second-favorite, yielding only to my love of SpellJammer.

Couldn't really get into Eberron, me. Perhaps I felt that setting would have worked better in a narrativist game.

If you're looking for a solid tabletop wargame with optional roleplaying components, Dark Sun and D&D4e should be a great match.

And that sentence right their explains almost entirely why I dislike D&D so very very much

I'm somewhat pleased, but at the same time, due to Dark Sun being one of the settings I've played in most over the years, I think I've cool on it. It just doesn't excite me like it used to.
