One of the greatest men from the early PC era, Jim Butterfield, died over the weekend from cancer. That man taught me an absolutely enormous amount about programming, and I used his reference books heavily for years in my youth. Fair thee well, my friend.

I couldn't link to his wiki article, it just doesn't at all convey what he did for almost three generations of computer engineers.

celebrate him by being outstanding particulars
oh yeah butterfield was an influence of thought1
& feignedapathy
where are they now?
three generations doesn't mean a thing
but for sentimental purposes like religion
