"Abu" is Arabic for "father," I know. Though if River should know any Arabic it ought to be "Intifada" ("shaking off") for all the times I've said it (the First Intifada was the case study I used in a paper on Palestinian nationalism for my Middle Eastern class).
Last of the Wine's pretty good so far. Yesterday I read a chapter where our protagonist befriends a bath house slave who slips off to listen to Sokrates when he can. By the end of the chapter some affluent guy in their circle buys his freedom. Ooh. Oops. I thought I'd seen Guns N' Roses in connection with "SftD". Ah well. I don't actually know either of the groups at all, so I can't pass judgment, but I am very fond of that one song. Kind of just because it was at the end of IwtV, yeah, but also because it's an interesting song.
