Locke has been surprised unpleasantly before. Altogether too often. Locke has been confused before, if not very frequently. But this, right now, is probably the most bewildered Locke has ever been. Too many feelings, and they get very confusing very rapidly. He's in his room again, sprawled on his bed, looking concerned and mostly just - well.

"I like laughing. Why'd you do that?"

"You're wincing." Pointedly. Still grinning because she's so happy to hang out with Locke again.

"I'm always wincing. Comes of spending too much time with you." A grin, though, to assure her he's only teasing. He's missed her, even if the eyes are freaky as hell.

"Geez thanks." Flatly. But she's joking too. "Like we've been spending so much time together, you and I, recently."

He makes a face. "Seems we've both been stuck in bed."

"Yeah. Gets funny that way." Speaking of which... "Please don't do that again."

"...do what?"

[tomboy_22]

"Almost get killed."

[thornofcamorr]

"Oh." A pause, and a bit of a smile. "I guess that's where my news comes in."

"Your news?" She's kind of guessed, but she'd like to hear.

[thornofcamorr]

A bit of a grin. "The Sanzas are here."

Oh, that's not at all what she guessed.

"The Sanzas?"

Typist is curious now. What did she think.

"Calo and Galdo." And that's a genuine smile, probably the first you've seen out of him. "I don't know how, but-"

She thought he was going to tell her he didn't want to die anymore and he was happy.

"I don't think you ever mentioned them, before," she says, trying to remember.

Only when delirious, probably. He doesn't talk about his friends in name terms much. Or much, period.
