Now that some legal shenanigans have been resolved, work can begin on two Hobbit films, prequels to the Lord of the Rings trilogy that came out several years ago.

And (drum roll please), the films will be directed by Guillermo del Toro!!!!

Okay, if you're not the film geek I am, that's the guy who directed The Orphanage & Pan's Labyrinth.
