Recently, while browsing an antique story with rosepurr, I bought two old typewriters - one Underwood and one Remington. They don't work. Their ribbons are old and shredded. So I often don't follow local news here, especially politics. Tennessee politics tends toward the depressing and the inane so it's best to ignore those sections of the paper, particularly if the paper is the god-awful Tennessean.
