That was sweet. I'm not sure why you thought I wouldn't like it, other than that it references Lupin/Tonks. It's nice to see her that poised and well-adjusted, I wish it came out sometimes in the books. Maybe death was a positive growth experience?

One of the main reasons I disliked R/T was because I did like Tonks. She had the potential to be really cool, if Rowling had not chosen to cut her down to "Tonks pines, therefore she is." The little we saw of her outside that context was a lot of fun, and I wish she had survived DH so we could imagine her finally coming into her own.

Ah. Okay, that makes sense. Yeah, I was really disappointed with Tonks's development. Though - and it may be fandom's reaction to her - with her, I keep thinking, "Must redeem!" With Remus, I keep thinking, "Eh."

I have this idea that involves someone (probably a Malfoy) taunting young Teddy, saying that Remus only married Tonks because she was pregnant, Remus was really gay, or something. Most of the story would be about Teddy realizing his father loved both Sirius and Tonks, in different ways.

But I doubt I'll write it. :P

I really liked this. I am a Remus/Tonks shipper, but the way you wrote this perspective was really nice. Good work!

I like the way that you've done this - there are problems, but there is still something there between them, or there was once. And I really like the fact that Tonks doesn't let Remus take responsibility for her actions. Because to do that would be incredibly insulting to her, and surely she must be sick of him doing that by now. *mutters about DH*

That last bit totally slayed me--Tonks reuniting with her daddy! I cried, for sure. I've noticed myself doing that with parent-child reunions, a bit--both fics I've read where Hermione went to restore her parents' memories in Australia made me cry. ;p

The wank was small - just Sirius/Remus shippers acting smug because Tonks wasn't in the reunion scene with MPP & Lily. I'm a Sirius/Remus shipper and it made perfect sense to me that she wouldn't be there; she's not that important to Harry, and that was Harry's scene. Grr, people.
