Ouch - interesting how death made things so much clearer for them. I really like the last bit, though, about her father.

I'm so glad you confronted the 'woman stays with child' stereotype here. Thank you for giving Tonks integrity again.

Hee. Like I said, this story wasn't planned, but I was getting so annoyed with the glee some people were expressing over Tonks's absence from the Resurrection Stone scene. The woman's an Auror; of course she's going to fight!

Thank you. :)

And I'll never understand why they think it means anything other than that the people present for the Resurrection Stone scene were Harry's support group. His parents, and those of his father's best friends who turned out to be true, both to James and Lily and also to Harry himself. Tonks meant a lot to Remus, alive or dead, but it was Harry who had the ring and it was Harry's needs that were paramount.

And dang, you got me with that punchline. Ted. And also poor Florean Fortescue, whose exact fate we never did discover.

They're grasping at straws.

Dammit, I love Sirius/Remus as much as the next person, but come on.

I'm glad you liked this. :)

you're not the man I was waiting here for."...and her daddy called, "Dora! Our sundaes are melting!"

See, now I'm going to cry... I love how you said "her daddy called" because that just melts my heart and it's so perfect for thinking of your dad who you thought was gone forever and now you have back, and there's really nothing like having your daddy back, is there? Seriously, all choked up. Love it.
