You're welcome, sweetie! Settling on one fic of yours was hard; they're all so luscious. ♥

I may need to write this. Sulu or Jim? Or maybe she spends the night with Jim and McCoy, and McCoy gets up in the morning and walks into the kitchen to find Gaila and Jim sitting and eating grapefruit (or whatever) in just boxers.

The idea of women cross dressing in men's clothes is always problematic since women can and do routinely wear male clothing or clothing based on men't styles. There's no taboo involved. Even when it comes to underwear: t-shirts and tank tops have both moved from men only to being thoroughly appropriated by women, and the only difference between men's jockey shorts and boxers and women's panties, "boy shorts" and gym shorts are the presence or absence of a slit in the front. And since the slit is not exactly the most sexy aspect of the garment, no big loss.

When I was in college, my dorm was horrendously hot, and all winter we had to strip down from our warm sweaters to summer-weight clothing as soon as we got inside. The fad of the time was to wear men's boxers as shorts. We wore them over our underwear--not in place of it--but the point is, no taboo.

Now "Gaila walking around topless in Sulu's silk boxers" does sound sexy, but more from the combo of topless and silk. Boxers instead of silk panties doesn't seem too ( ... )

That's pretty much exactly what I said to somebody else in the DreamWidth version of this entry. :)

I think it would be the topless thing and the fact that she's wearing his underwear that makes it somewhat kinky. Because women going topless outside the bedroom may be legal in some parts, but it's still pretty taboo.

I feel like I'm going be horrible at this challenge, because I can't really think of many fics that I've tried and liked but thought I wouldn't

I might have to do some digging on my old ff.net account....

I'm bad at remembering stories, even ones I loved. Hell, I have trouble remembering my own stories sometimes. And I tend to read within my comfort zone, though I like to be challenged within that zone too.

That is a sexy image, and I don't think you need to worry too much about WHY it's a sexy image. Though I will add that I think some of it comes from the boxers not just being boxers but being a specific someone's boxers. And part of it is that somehow those eight words seem to communicate so much of that wonderful world-conquering, day-saving, I'll-sunbathe-naked-if-I-want-to, Gaila attitude. :-) I say write it if you want to write it.

I want to!

Yeah, as people - including me! - have pointed out, it's nothing out of the ordinary for a woman to wear boxers. But if the boxers in question belong to a man, and if the woman is walking around topless - as men are wont to do - that's something a little different.
